Stalwart Hollywood supporting player William Fichtner takes a leading role for a change in this slow-burning psychological drama.

He plays a middle-aged man with a stagnant marriage and a job from home as a technical writer that gives him ample time for staring out the window.

His interest is more than piqued when attractive Jessica McNamee moves in next door with her brash, possibly abusive Corvette-salesman husband (Michael Rosenbaum).

The set-up is ripe for an out-and-out thriller, but the direction the movie takes proves far more nuanced and ambivalent.

The results may be too dull for some viewers, but it's worth giving Fichtner's equivocal protagonist a chance while you try to work out if he is being creepy or chivalrous.
