Paddy surprises Rhona when he tells her he's ready to move on. Moira still doesn't know Cain has moved on to Charity. And Frank hasn't given up on Megan

Rhona and Pierce got home from their holiday looking very much like a happy couple. But that was partly because they thought Paddy had left the village and returned to work in Germany. It didn’t take long before they saw he was still in Emmerdale and still working at the vet’s practice. Rhona went back to work and Paddy took a deep breath and told her he thought they should get on with their divorce. Pierce loved that idea but, clearly, Paddy didn’t, even though he brought it up.
As the news of Holly Barton’s shock death from an overdose spread round the village, everyone was affected by the tragedy.
As the undertakers came to collect her dead daughter, grieving mum Moira said a painful goodbye to Holly, cradling in her arms. As Holly’s body was driven away, the farmer buckled in grief and dissolved in tears in Cain’s arms.
Elsewhere, Jai, Holly’s secret lover, reeled as Kerry and Lisa broke the news, not realising their boss was involved with her. Needing to talk, Jai opened up to Priya, revealing their romance and telling her he’d been planning to take Holly to Paris.

Even Moira’s son Adam knows Cain and Charity are back together but, still, no one has told Moira and Chas was clearly feeling very guilty.
Megan was reminded of her dead son, Robbie and couldn’t hide her sadness. Not knowing Megan’s family history, Frank tried to joke with her and Megan quickly shut him down. Later, Frank apologised and Megan was surprised by the compassion he showed her.
