Ross, burdened with the weight of all Cornwall’s problems on his shoulders, grows increasingly distant from his wife. So Demelza is flattered when handsome aristocrat Hugh Armitage makes it clear that he's fallen for her.

Ross dismisses the idea, but will his indifference push Demelza straight into Hugh's arms?
