This week’s theme in the ‘N’ series is Night, so Sandi Toksvig, Alan Davies, Holly Walsh, David Mitchell and Noel Fielding are in pajamas and slippers and, in Alan’s case, a nightcap.

Host Sandi is very good at letting the guests stray off the beaten track for just long enough to stay Quite Interesting, before corralling them with a brisk ‘Moving on...’

So we learn not only which rules nightingales are breaking, or how to lie on a bed of nails, but also why it’s not unreasonable to eat a Kit Kat for breakfast, what happened when the circus turned up at David’s primary school (he was furious at his long division being interrupted) and the consequences of Noel eating an eclair without using his hands. Quite Invaluable!
