Polly's been pretty wound up since her stalker, Alistair, jumped in front of a train. Dixie does her utmost to help the young paramedic open up but Polly insists she's fine - until a bank robbery goes very wrong and she's haunted by flashbacks of Alistair's death. After a traumatic day, she confesses to Dixie that she was with Alistair at the time of his death. He forced her to the railways tracks at knifepoint. When she tried to escape he jumped onto the tracks. She begged him to jump off but as he did so a train came along and killed him. She fled the scene and hasn't spoken of it since... A new award scheme called the Junior Academic Fellowship Award (JAFA) is announced to the student doctors. May's heart sinks when Ruth is assigned as her mentor, while Lenny is delighted to be appointed to Jordan. Yuki is paired with Zoe. At the end of their shift, the junior doctors discover Noel has made a chart and placed odds on who will win. May's dismayed when Adam ranks her at the bottom of the list. And when the Dean offers to help her we discover he's her father! Jessica's estranged husband, Sean, shows up in this week declaring to Jessica and Adam he'd like to make a fresh start. However, unknown to them, he doesn't mean it and is trying to gain their confidence...

His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix. 

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
