This week’s guests competing to convince Frank Skinner to consign their pet hates to Room 101 are singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, comedian Rob Beckett and Ross Kemp.

Sophie wants to see an end to 'misplaced clapping', such as clapping when a plane lands ('If those people were on a plane that went down, would they boo?’ muses Frank), Rob makes a convincing argument for not having teeth, and Ross is annoyed by shop assistants with a superior attitude.

With the right guests – and these three are pretty good – this format works well, and Frank Skinner's apologetically blokey humour adds to the entertainment.
