Sam is furious when Maddy shares her concerns about his health with Elliot. Sam insists he's been given the all clear, but Maddy and Elliot don't believe he's collected his test results, so Elliot requests them from Oncology. Sam is devastated to learn that he has an advanced form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Meanwhile, Donna sees new General Surgeon Consultant Michael Spence being beaten up in the car park on his first day at work. Concerned, Donna quizzes him about it, and gets a shock when he turns on her. Later, feeling guilty about his behaviour, Michael buys her concert tickets to say sorry.
