With the nation's interest in ballroom dancing piqued by the return of Strictly Come Dancing, here are ten ordinary men and women giving the celebrities a run for their money in a charming amateur Strictly-style challenge.

Over six weeks, they learn how to be ballroom champions, every week mastering a new dance, before taking part in national competitions.

Some are already award-winning freestyle dancers, while others are complete novices, such as mother and son Roberta and Harry, who have a lot to learn.

'Who's Fred Astaire?' asks Harry. 'Is he like Bruce Forsyth?'
