It's the return of everyone's favourite ogre, voiced by Mike Myers.

In this third outing, he's worried about becoming a dad and king of Far Far Away land, so off he goes to find the next in line to the throne, student heir Artie (Justin Timberlake).

Meanwhile, Fiona (Cameron Diaz) teams up with Snow White, Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty for a spot of lively action fending off a coup by Prince Charming (Rupert Everett) and a host of fairy tale baddies.

The animation is as brilliant as ever and there is plenty of wit to the script, though it's not quite in the same league as its predecessors.

Still, Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) provide a steady steam of amusing one-liners and there's an entertaining new character in quirky magician Merlin (Eric Idle).
