Comedy goddesses Tina Fey and Amy Poehler play the wildly mismatched sisters in question in this hit-and-miss film.
They are sent into a tailspin after their ageing parents (Dianne Wiest and James Brolin) decide to sell their childhood home.
So Fey's flaky single mom and Poehler's earnest do-gooder decide to revisit their teenage years and hold one last wild bash in their old home - reversing their former roles on this occasion so that habitual ‘designated mom’ Poehler can finally let her freak flag fly.
The barrage of raucous gags the film unleashes contain as many misses as hits, but Fey and Poehler strike great sparks off each other and the film is well worth watching for them.
