First shown on Sky Living last year, this BAFTA-nominated three-part drama arrives on Freeview. Based on a real 1977 case (also the inspiration for recent horror film The Conjuring 2), it stars Timothy Spall as Maurice Grosse, a paranormal investigator called in to probe apparent poltergeist activity in a gloomy London council house. Maurice's dashing colleague Guy Lyon Playfair (Matthew Macfadyen) puts it all down to naughty children, but could there be some truth to the family's stories of an evil presence in their home? A wonderful performance from Spall, some effective scares and a sense of mounting dread make for a gripping chiller.
