This eerie, well-done real-life haunted house chiller is based on stories of paranormal activities that Al and Carmen Snedeker's family experienced in their home in Southington, Connecticut, in the 1980s. Virginia Madsen and Martin Donovan star as parents (here Sara and Peter Campbell) whose teenage son (Kyle Gallner) needs experimental treatment for cancer. After the family move house to be near the treatment centre, the boy starts seeing ghostly apparitions - it turns out their new home is an old mortuary that's hiding apparently macabre secrets. Very intriguing and involving, this spine-tingler keeps up the suspense all the way to the end.
