A plague has turned most humans into zombies, including Hoult’s soulful R, who rescues Palmer’s spirited human Julie - and she awakens in him dormant feelings and abilities.

This thoroughly entertaining movie, based on Isaac Marion's novel, has fun playing around with the horror genre and, with the charming leads and Rob Corddry and Analeigh Tipton providing appealing support, it's a winner.
