The hit comedy play makes its accident-prone way to the screen…

Magical mayhem ensues when Mischief Theatre brings its Olivier Award-nominated smash to BBC1 from London’s West End, telling the story of what happens when the BBC lets an amateur dramatics company put on a production of Peter Pan.

Explosions, wardrobe malfunctions, unrequited love and 'unrehearsed falls' are all part of the fictional Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society production's descent into noisy chaos, with a wonderfully game David Suchet sending himself up as the mishap-plagued play's debonair, smoking-jacket-wearing narrator.

Filmed in front of a studio audience, it's all extremely silly and very funny indeed.
