Joshua refuses to return to school unless Terese can talk Susan into letting him go into Year Twelve. But despite Terese's best efforts, Susan remains firm. It seems like Joshua will drop out until Amber gives him a blast of tough love - telling him to go back to his studies or get a job. Josh makes the decision to suck up his humiliation and repeat.
With Toadie away in Chile, Sonya's suffering from too much work and not enough sleep. When Toadie's attractive assistant Talia drops in, Sonya's affronted to realise Toadie's been confiding in her about their marital problems, and things between the women grow tense.
