Coronation Street fans stunned as THIS character QUIT unexpectedly last night
Coronation Street fans were shocked when legendary Fat Brenda suddenly quit her job at Street Cars...
Last night's Coronation Street has left fans stunned as fan favourite Fat Brenda quit her job at Street Cars as the business continues to go down the pan.
Coronation Street fans have seen Steve McDonald and Tim Metcalfe struggling at Street Cars after rival cab company GoLucy launched a fancy new app that lets you not only book online, but also track your cab to see when it will be arriving.
But while Tim and Steve have stood by their business and vow to make it a success once again, it seems unseen character Brenda has had enough and has jumped ship to GoLucy.
As Steve and Tim filled their time between non-existent taxi bookings by playing rock, paper, scissors last night, it was revealed that they were to lose a mender of staff when Brenda called the cab office to break the news to boss Steve.
As he answered the phone to Brenda, Steve was fuming to find out that she was leaving them in the lurch and moving to GoLucky, but made sure he got the last word by making it clear she was to still come in the following day for her final shift.
But while Brenda's departure is a sign of the times over at Street Cars, fans still aren't happy...

Things then got even worse for Steve in yesterday's trip to Weatherfield when he finally got a booking, only for it to turn out to be more trouble than it was worth.
Thrilled that someone needed a taxi at last, Steve raced out to collect an elderly woman and take her home.
But once they arrived at the address she'd given Steve, the cabbie sensed something wasn't right when all the houses on the estate were boarded up.
Clearly the woman had got confused, and Steve did the right thing and took her to the police station and waited with her while her family arrive to collect her.
But while he was doing his good deed for the day, Steve was left miffed when he had to turn down a lucrative booking because he'd promised himself he would look after the confused old lady.
With Fat Brenda gone and GoLucky taking all their business, Steve and Tim are forced to take drastic measures and later this week they'll look into moving with the times and getting an app for Street Cars.
But the only problem is, it's going to cost a small fortune, leading to Steve making some very silly decisions.
Desperate for cash, Steve will decide later this week that he needs to start doing illegal street pick ups, despite it being a breach of his licence.
But he soon lives to regret his decision when he finds himself caught up in an armed robbery, and he's the getaway driver!
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
