Here's everything you need to know about Dancing on Ice 2021...

Dancing On Ice 2021 is here and fans are beyond excited to see the Sunday night skating competition back on their screens.

Like all our favourite reality TV shows at the moment, including Strictly Come Dancing 2020 and I'm a Celebrity 2020, Dancing On Ice 2021 will look a little different to previous years.

Here is everything you need to know about the new series, from which celebrities are taking part and what time you can watch the show on ITV, to the changes being made to filming thanks to social distancing restrictions...

When did Dancing On Ice 2021 start?

Dancing On Ice started on ITV on Sunday 17th January at 6pm.

The show will then air every Sunday evening at the same time.

Which celebrities will be skating in Dancing On Ice 2021?

Olympic gymnast Amy joined the Dancing On Ice line up after Denise Van Outen and her partner Matt Evers were forced to bow out following Denise's nasty shoulder injury. She is skating with professional skater Joe Johnson and according to her new cast-mates she is one to watch and could be the dark horse of 2021.

Rufus was the last celebrity to be announced, completing the line up for Dancing On Ice 2021.

He has been partnered with professional skater Robin Johnstone.

The news was revealed on Martin and Roman Kemp's Sunday Best, with the comedian telling the pair: "I'm doing it for the money. I don't know if you've heard but about six months ago this pandemic hit and made just about everything I've ever done to earn a pound note disappear!

"And so this point has arrived and they said 'we'll pay you' and I said 'do you know something? I love ice skating!'"

He then added: "Training starts in a couple of weeks... I've spent the last twenty years in the pub mainly!"

Billie Faiers

Billie announced that she would be getting her skates on via social media, telling fans that she was 'soooo excited!'

She has been given Mark Hanretty as her skating partner.

The ex TOWIE and current The Mummy Diaries star shared a picture of her skates and wrote: "I am sooooo excited to announce that I will be taking part in @dancingonice. I still can't believe I'm actually doing it!

"I'm so nervous but so excited... this will honestly be one of my biggest challenges yet! I have zero ice skating or dance experience but I'm going to give it my all and make my family proud!"

Lady Leshurr

Musician Lady Leshurr was announced as the tenth celebrity to be joining the 2021 skating competition on the Kiss FM breakfast show.

She has been partnered with Brendyn Hatfield.

Speaking of her new adventure, Lady Leshurr said: "Oh my gosh, I don't know what I've got myself in for.

"Everyone knows me to be that person to just throw myself in at the deep end and I just wing it a lot of the time!

"I'm petrified, but I've always wanted to ice skate, so what is better than doing it in front of millions of people!"

Rebekah Vardy

Rebekah joined Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain to announce the news that she would be the ninth celebrity joining the show.

She will be skating with Andy Buchanan.

Speaking of the challenge she said: "My dad taught me how to stand up on a pair of skates when I was about seven years old.

"He used to take us to the local ice rink, but the only time I've been ice skating since is when we take the kids to our local ice rink at Christmas."

Rebekah said her husband, Leicester footballer Jamie Vardy, thinks it's great she is joining Dancing On Ice... "He's really looking forward to watching me and says he hopes I don’t fall over too much!"

Former Olympic skier Graham, who is no stranger to winter sports, will be skating with Yebin Mok.

But don't be fooled into thinking that's going to make him top of the leader board when it comes to Dancing On Ice!

Graham appeared on BBC Breakfast to announce his news about joining the Dancing On Ice 2021 line up... admitting "Ice doesn't scare me, it's the dancing!"

Graham confessed that his dancing abilities were limited... "I can dance on tables, wearing ski boots in apres ski... it's not graceful and elegant!"

Colin Jackson

Colin revealed he had joined the all-star line up for Dancing On Ice 2021 during an interview alongside Graham Bell on BBC Breakfast.

He will be skating with Klabera Komini.

The 53-year-old former sprinter and hurdling champion admitted: "I can do a little bit of skating.

"I think with sport in itself, you've certainly got a bit of balance and that will be transferable in this circumstance.

"How much dancing we'll do, who knows?! We'll see how the choreography goes!"

Sonny Jay

Sonny will be swapping radio for TV as he joins the line up for Dancing On Ice 2021.

He will be taking to the ice with professional partner, Angela Egan.

The Capital Radio DJ is best known for presenting the station's breakfast show alongside Roman Kemp and Sian Welby.

He revealed the news to his co-stars live on the radio... "I'm going to be doing Dancing On Ice! I'm so excited, I don't know how I kept it a secret."

Jason Donovan

Jason Donovan, who began his career as Neighbours favourite Scott Robinson, has confirmed that he will be taking to the ice as part of the new series next year.

He has been teamed up with Alexandra Schauman.

Speaking of his new adventure, Jason said on Twitter: "I've always loved my winter sports, skiing, skating, snowboarding... I quite like my apres ski as well!

"I can't wait to get on the ice, have some fun and bring a bit smile to everyone's faces in 2021!"

Faye Brookes

Another celebrity confirmed to be joining the show was former Coronation Street star Faye Brookes.

Faye will be hitting the ice rink with Hamish Gaman.

Faye played Weatherfield's Kate Connor between 2015 and 2019, and now she is taking on a new challenge as she puts her skating skills to the test.

The news was revealed on Lorraine, with Faye saying: "Finally the news is out. I'm so excited.

"This is the first time people are going to see me not being a character. I might be Bambi on the first day, who knows.

"Ice skating is a massive strain on the body, so hats off to all the pros."

Emmerdale star Joe, who is best known to soap fans for playing Jacob Gallagher since 2010, was the second star to be confirmed for Dancing On Ice.

He will be skating with Vanessa Bauer.

He appeared on This Morning to announce the news with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

"I'm super excited, I can't even describe it," he told them.

"I have got some time off Emmerdale to really focus on the training so that I can try my best.

"It is a new challenge, I have never done anything like this before.

"I have been wearing my skates around the house so that they mould to my feet and don't rub while I'm training.

Myleene was the first contestant to be announced for the latest series on Dancing On Ice.

She will be dancing with Lukasz Rozycki.

She revealed the news on her social media pages, leaving fans thrilled.

The former Hear'Say star, who also won a legion of fans when she appeared in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, told fans: "Guess who won't be holding the coats at the side of the rink anymore!

"I am so, so excited to be joining the cast of @dancingonince.

"My girls have always wanted me to do this but I've always been too scared someone will skate over my fingers!

"Anyway, I want to make them proud and show them I'm up for any challenge when completely out of my comfort zone. But most of all, I want a bum like JLo!"

Why did Denise Van Outen leave Dancing On Ice?

Sadly Denise was forced to bow out of the competition after suffering a bad shoulder injury in rehearsals.

The TV presenter and West End star initially hoped she would be able to continue in the competition despite dislocating her shoulder in ahead of her first live show.

However, it soon transpired the injury was worse than originally thought and the skating accident had actually left her with three fractures.

There is hope that Denise and her skating partner Matt Evers could return to the ice next year for Dancing On Ice 2022 - but that is currently just speculation.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will be returning to their presenting roles on the show.

Who will be judging on Dancing on Ice 2021?

John Barrowman, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will be judging again (Picture: ITV)

The judging panel will see Ashley Banjo and John Barrowman joining skating legends Torvill and Dean as they offer advice and deliver scores each week.

Last year's series of Dancing On Ice saw Joe Swash, Perri Kiely and Libby Clegg all reach the final.

In the end Joe Swash and his skating partner Alex Murphy were the ones to lift the trophy.

Dancing on Ice airs on Sunday nights at 6pm on ITV.
