The final ever edition of Harry Hill's TV Burp will air on ITV1 on Saturday night, bringing the series to an end after 11 years. There had been speculation that the show - which sees the funnyman taking satirical swipes at the week's TV - would continue after Hill was persuded by Simon Cowell to carry on. However the comic - who has signed a new £2m deal with Channel 4 - reportedly confirmed to the audience at the recording of the show earlier this week that it would be the last one. The show reportedly features former EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison alongside many of its most popular comic creations including Brian Belo, Wagbo and the Lord Sugar puppet - following on from Hill's promise that he would deliver a "huge" finale when the series came to its end. An ITV source has told the Mirror that they remain optimistic the comedian will change his mind and return to the show. "Harry has been a hugely popular part of the ITV schedule for many years, and the management would undoubtedly prefer him to stay here,' the insider said. "There will be many more discussions with Harry over the coming weeks, and we are hopeful a deal can be reached."
