It's really happening Holby City fans… Fletch and Ange are going on a date!
It's been on the cards for weeks and now it looks like Holby's Fletch and Ange are finally going on an OFFICIAL date! Dawn Steele reveals more...
After weeks of flirting, Holby City favourites Ange and Fletch have arranged to go on a proper first date. But when director of nursing Fletch is forced to challenge consultant Ange professionally, this week, it looks like he may have scuppered any chance at romance.
Fletch has a major soft spot for Ange and is clearly looking forward to their date as he turns up for his shift all suited-and-booted for the occasion.
Fletch has become a really good friend to Ange over the past few months, as he’s supported her through the turmoil of the Holly Cartwright case AND finding out that medic Dominic Copeland is her real son.

"Fletch and Ange get on mainly because he makes her laugh and, as we’ve seen so far, Ange hasn’t had much to laugh about," says Dawn Steele, who plays her. "Ange is quite serious and Fletch provides some light relief for her."
It looks like the date might never happen, however, when Fletch and Ange find themselves at loggerheads when he’s tasked by Holby boss Hanssen to lay down the law and put a stop to kind-hearted Ange operating out of hours on sick kids for no extra pay.

Fletch knows he's treading a fine line between having to follow orders – and not getting into the bad books of the woman he fancies!!
Unsurprisingly, Ange doesn't take kindly to being told what to do and Fletch thinks he’s well and truly blown it. Feeling he's messed things up with Ange, Fletch drowns his sorrows with Sacha with both men toasting the "single life" – but then Ange shocks them both when she turns up in a stunning red suit all ready for her date with Fletch!
"Ange enjoys being in Fletch’s company; he brings out a different side to her," says Dawn.
As the pair kiss, it looks like their romance is officially ON!
However, loyal Holby fans will know that Ange isn't the only woman Fletch has set his sights on since he’s been at Holby and, at one point, it really looked like he and Jac Naylor were going to become a "thing". Does Fletch still hold a torch for Holby's resident ice queen?
Holby City continues next Tuesday at 8pm on BBC1.
