Attention – Call The Midwife fans!

Ahead of the highly-anticipated ninth season of Call The Midwife, which will be coming to the BBC next year, the hit series has made an exciting announcement.

For anyone who loves to have a good binge session and re-watch old episodes, the series is bringing new episodes to Netflix.

Up until now you could only watch series 1-6 on the TV streaming service, but they have now released the seventh series so that fans can catch up to fill the gap until the newest series starts.

Writing on their Facebook page the show wrote: ‘Hello all!

‘Great news for you Netflix fans out there! Just to let you know that our acclaimed and heart-rending series 7 will be available to view on Netflix UK from Wednesday 11 September!! ❤️😍’.

And fans were absolutely thrilled at the news.

Many were delighted to get something to fill the gap while they await the new series and the highly-anticipated Christmas special.

‘My family are just used to it now but I play call the midwife everyday in my house I don't always sit and watch it but it's just on the kitchen tv all the time,’ wrote one dedicated fan. ‘I just love the era the characters the whole thing and no one understands how I just keep watching ’.

Others added: ‘Great it will give me a much needed dose of ctm to boost my morale while I wait for the Christmas special and the new series! 😍’ and ‘Finally! I re-watched series 6 in 2 days! I need my fix!’.

There were also those who were ecstatic at the news, having missed the series when it was actually on TV.

‘Yay that was the series I missed and have rewatched all the others x,’ wrote one viewer.

Another fan added: ‘So happy been waiting for season 6 forever and so pleased to find it on there yesterday!!!!

‘I can't wait! I've missed some of the episodes due to work! I go on vacation that day! Binging on #CTM!!!’.
