Stephen Fry marries his partner in a civil service

Stepehn Fry has married his 27-year-old partner in a civil service in Norfolk.

The actor and writer tweeted yesterday: "Gosh @ElliottGSpencer go into a room as two people, sign a book and leave as one. Amazing"

He later added: "Oh and @ElliottGSpencer and I had our vows witnessed by a mini Oscar Wilde. Because one should. #greencarnations"

It's believed the ceremony took place in Dereham, Norfolk.

Stephen recently said on Twitter that he was 'very very happy' to announce that he and the 27-year-old writer were to marry.

"Oh. It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag. I'm very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!"
