On Film4 tonight at 7.10pm

This film really appeals to me tonight. I wonder why…

Perhaps it’s because there are still two days of work to go this week and (with the exception of Jane Fonda) the movie is like a reunion of the cast of  Nine to Five.

Or, perhaps it’s because I’m expecting my first family visit of the festive season this weekend and this film is about a family, and in particular, a family amusingly adapting to an alien environment.

OK, no, my relatives aren’t hillbillies from Arkansas. However, they are hippies from Asia and come with their own quirky and endearing Clampett-like cultural differences when spending time in the West.
