Anne also talks about how busy host Bradley has been filming Doctor Who

Anne Hegerty has revealed that the episodes of The Chase, hosted by Bradley Walsh, being shown on ITV currently were actually filmed a year ago!

The 60-year-old star, who’s known as the Governess, says that ITV has recorded a whole bunch of episodes which means that The Chase fans won’t be running out of shows to watch for a long time.

Anne told The Mirror: “We have always got about a year’s worth of shows in the can. The ones going out at the moment are from 2017.”

She went on to say that it’s a good job they’ve already shot so many episodes as host Bradley has been so busy shooting his role as a companion on the new series of Doctor Who, which stars Jodie Whittaker.

“It can be hard going,” revealed Anne. “The problem this year [is] Bradley has been so unavailable as he has been doing Doctor Who.

“Bradley was very determined that the one thing he was not going to give up was The Chase.”

Anne said they shot some more shows in April and June, so hopefully this means that there will be plenty of episodes to look forward to.

The Chase continues at 5pm on ITV today.
