The Secrets She Keeps season 2, 9.15 pm, BBC One (box set)
In the first run of this twisty Aussie thriller in 2020, we were gripped by the shocking tale of Brit Agatha (a fantastically nuanced turn from Downton Abbey’s Laura Carmichael) as she plotted to steal Ben, the newborn baby of blogger Meghan (Jessica De Gouw). The second series kicks off in an equally compelling style as Agatha undergoes an ordeal in jail, while Meghan remains scarred, despite having Ben, now a toddler, back in the family fold. As both women’s lives take some jaw-dropping new turns, a dogged young podcaster, who is desperate to tell Agatha’s story, throws a new cat among the pigeons….

Griff's Canadian Adventure, 9 pm, Channel 4/All4 (box set)
Griff Rhys Jones’s latest travelogue takes him on a 4,000-mile trip across Canada, from Newfoundland in the east to Vancouver Island in the west. He starts in St John’s, ‘the biggest fishing village in the world’, in a part of Canada that lost a lot of its population when commercial cod fishing was banned. Griff mucks in cooking cod’s tongues with a local rock legend, goes down an ancient iron-ore mine that runs under the ocean, and attends a traditional ‘kitchen party’ where he entertains locals by whipping out his ‘ugly stick’.

A League of Their Own, Prime Video
A League of Their Own is a reboot of the movie of the same name starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Madonna, but with an all-new cast of characters. Like the film, this Prime Video series follows the Rockford Peaches, a girl's team that's been formed in Chicago following the establishment of the ‘Girls Professional Baseball League’. It's a great ride that tackles a variety of contemporary problems including sexism, racism and attitudes to sexuality. The mismatched team of girls includes Carson Shaw (Abbi Jacobson), Max (Chanté Adams), Greta (D'Arcy Carden) and Lupe (Roberta Colindrez), and the Peaches are headed up this time by ex-pro ‘Dove’ Porter, played by Parks and Rec fave, Nick Offerman.
