Bake Off: The Professionals – The Final, 8pm, C4
We know they are among the best pastry chefs in the country, but the three final teams battling it out to be crowned the winners of TV’s toughest baking contest are certainly put through the mill in this week’s tense climax! Their first challenge, set by no-nonsense judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden, sees them create beautiful patisserie shop-window displays with four types of finger tart. Then, for their epic last task, they have to whip up a ‘day at the races’-themed banquet for a staggering 80 people! But as the teams jockey into position, which dark horses will claim victory?

Two Doors Down, season 5, 10pm, BBC Two
New neighbours Ash (Starstruck’s Ambreen Razia) and Iqbal (Detectorists’ Divian Ladwa) are given a uniquely Latimer Crescent welcome tonight, which leaves them reconsidering their life decisions. Having just moved from London, the health-conscious couple pop over to Beth and Eric’s to introduce themselves, and are warmly greeted by the gang stuffing their faces with a family-sized box of doughnuts. After being given a rundown of the best local takeaways, subjected to Christine’s (Elaine C Smith) ailments, Colin’s bawdy jokes, and pressured into accepting sweet treats, uptight Ash finally snaps in deliciously awkward scenes. Welcome to the neighbourhood!

Darcey Bussell's Royal Road Trip, 9pm, More4
Darcey Bussell is in London and the South East as her affectionate tour of royal hotspots continues. She begins at a place that has significance for both herself and Her Majesty, White Lodge in Richmond Park. It was the Queen’s home for the first year of her life, it’s also where Dame Darcey lived for three years as it’s now home to the Royal Ballet School. She also gets behind the wheel of the same military truck driven by Princess Elizabeth during World War Two, enjoys a day out at Ascot Racecourse and pays a visit to some of the Queen’s favourite London haunts, including The Goring hotel and Quaglino’s restaurant.

From, 9pm, Sky Sci-Fi
Syfy channel becomes Sky Sci-Fi from 11am, and tonight’s highlight is this horror. Getting lost on a road trip is never fun, but for the Matthews family it’s the start of a nightmare, for all roads seem to lead back to the town they have stumbled into. Soon, they make the awful realisation that once you’ve entered the town, you can never leave. And, worse still, once the sun goes down the town is plagued by shape-shifting, flesh-eating monsters, and it’s up to the sheriff, Boyd Stevens (Lost’s Harold Perrineau), to keep them safe. Prepare to be terrified.

Mad Tracey from Margate, 7pm, Sky Arts/NOW
An intimate and revealing portrait of controversial British artist Tracey Emin, who rose from a tough childhood in Margate to prominence as the self-styled bad girl of contemporary British art. Shocking and autobiographical, her work tells her story, examined more closely in this one-off documentary, with contributions from friends, collaborators, teachers and Tracey herself.

Ben Fogle's New Lives in the Country, 9pm, Channel 5
"You can tell we have been together a while, she used to use words, now she just uses a look," says new business owner Aran about his partner Laura. The pair left London to open a bakery in Buxton, Derbyshire and stress levels are off the scale. In fact, this episode acts as a warning to anyone thinking of telling the boss to get lost, as the long hours and unrelenting pressure on this hard working couple will make most new life daydreamers think twice. Even Ben is concerned about how hard the pair work, taking them wild swimming to remind them there’s more to life than making dough.

Best box set to watch on TV tonight
Sanditon, season 2, ITV Hub
This adaptation of Jane Austen’s unfinished novel ended its first season on a major cliffhanger when heroine Charlotte (Rose Williams) left Sanditon heartbroken after true love Sidney (Theo James) married another woman to save his brother from financial ruin. As season two begins, Sidney is no longer around and a tragedy brings Charlotte back to Sanditon along with her sister Alison (Rosie Graham). Though Charlotte has sworn off romance, there’s no shortage of eligible men hoping to court her, like dashing war veteran Colonel Lennox (Tom Weston-Jones). As before, it’s a delicious Regency treat with a refreshingly modern (sense and) sensibility.
Best film to watch on TV tonight
Misery, 11.25pm, Film4
Only a handful of Stephen King adaptations capture the spirit of his writing and this is one of the best, helped by William Goldman’s taut script and Rob Reiner’s direction. James Caan delivers a stand-out performance, despite spending virtually the entire movie immobile, and Kathy Bates is terrifying in her Oscar-winning turn as his deranged captor. Shown in tribute to the recent death of Caan.
