The final of Celebrity Big Brother 2013 was a huge hit for Channel 5, pulling in its highest ratings since the series moved to the station in 2011. According to overnight estimates an average audience of 3.25m tuned in to see Rylan Clark take the title on Friday night ahead of US reality couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. By contrast, the summer 2012 series of the show, which was won by Julian Clary, scored an audience of 3.14m for its final. The figures also made Channel 5 the second most watched channel of the night in its timeslot - beating both ITV's comedy drama Great Night Out and 8 Out of 10 Cats on Channel 4. And they are also considerably higher than the average ratings for the series, with eviction nights pulling in around 2m viewers. The launch night of the latest series also proved popular, with ratings peaking around the 4m mark as Rylan and Frankie Dettori had to decide which of the new housemates to send to the house and which to consign to the basement. As well as Heidi and Spencer - aka Speidi - finishing in second place on Friday night, the final also saw Neighbours actor Ryan Moloney finish third, Steps' Claire Richards come fourth and ex-footballer Neil 'Razor' Ruddock leave the house in fifth place.
