Having been framed by Phelan, Anna stands accused of attempting to murder window cleaner Seb, but as she goes on trial, will she be able to prove her innocence or will the evil builder's lies remain concealed?
For last few months, poor Anna Windass has been stuck in prison while waiting to go on trial for attempting to murder Seb Franklin, by pushing the apprentice window cleaner from his ladder. The only thing is, she didn't do it! She's been totally stitched-up by her enemy Pat Phelan.
So, as her trial approaches, Anna's only hope is the young lad himself, but having realised what is former boss is capable off, the terrified teen has done a runner. Can Anna's son Gary track down Seb and convince him to tell the truth? Or is the accused destined to go down for a crime she didn't commit?
At the beginning of the week, when Eileen agrees to visit Anna in prison, it looks like she's finally waking up to the fact that her husband isn't the man she thinks he is…
Eileen can't hide her unease when Anna quizzes her about Seb's whereabouts and then warns her to watch her back because Phelan's bound to turn on her one day…
As the trial approaches, Anna reckons her only hope of walking free lies with Seb so she tells Gary to track him down – which he does!
Finding Seb with his mum Abi in a cafe, Gary begs him to help Anna, but the lad refuses, saying that he knows Phelan killed Luke and he fears he might be next…
After a stunned Gary reports Seb's claim to the police, a couple of coppers turn up at No.11 to take Phelan in for questioning…
Eileen's suspicions about her husband are reignited, but they don't last for long because he's soon back at home, brushing off his visit to the nick as routine procedure…
Phelan fumes when he realises Eileen doubted him and agrees to take some time out by moving into Billy's place so his wife can look after the recently-injured vicar
Gary summons Seb to Coronation Street and takes an unconventional approach to getting the lad to reconsider being a witness at Anna's trial…
