Paula Lane to leave Coronation Street?

Actress Paula Lane has announced that she is pregnant with her second child, prompting speculation that her Coronation Street character, guilt-ridden Kylie Platt, is soon to be found out for killing her drug-peddling ex Callum Logan.

Paula shared the pregnancy news on Twitter. It will be her second child with partner Tom Shaw and is due in the spring. The couple have a one-year-old son.

As the 29-year-old prepares for maternity leave, however, might her crime catch up with her and see her being sent down for murder? She wouldn’t be the first woman on The Street to go to jail, after all. Both Tracy Barlow and her mum Deirdre spent time inside – the latter a huge injustice, of course.

So, is Callum about to be unearthed from beneath Gail’s annexe? And how will poor David cope if his true love is taken away from him again? Could it trigger another dark episode?
