It’s more greasy than glossy according to fans who think Rob Mallard needs to wash his hair

Corrie star Rob Mallard, who plays Daniel Osborne, has revealed that he’s inundated with complaints from viewers, who think his hair needs a good wash!

Asked what he would buy his soap alter-ego for Christmas, the star quipped that fans would probably suggest a bottle of shampoo.

“I get people tweeting me, saying, ‘Wash your hair!’” revealed the 25 year old, who's hoping his screen mum will make a comeback.

“It’s my fringe. It’s so heavy and it falls down, so I’m always putting it back, and when you spray it with lacquer all day, by the end of the day it gets all wiry and bitty.

“So when it’s on TV, it doesn’t look like it’s been washed for about 14 years. So maybe Daniel needs a bottle of Head and Shoulders!”

Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm.
