Cain saves Holly's life! (VIDEO)

It's time for the Bartons to scatter farmer John's ashes. Moira takes flowers along - and Holly takes her heroin. Her grief is causing her so much pain she just wants to be numb - and drugs will do that for her. But Alex catches Holly in the barn and thinks he has stopped her before she harms herself. Wanting to be alone, Holly walks to the village... And that's where Cain finds her. Holly has taken the heroin and collapsed outside the garage! Amy's confidence in Pollard's renewed enthusiasm for life collapses when he sacks her and Victoria. It's all big-mouth Brenda's fault really... She sticks her nose in as Amy and Victoria talk about Pollard's change of attitude and then goes gossiping to Diane - which is when Pollard hears her. He thinks Amy and Victoria have been gossiping about him to Brenda and is not happy (well, he wouldn't be...), so he tells them they no longer work at the B&B. Declan's working overtime up at Home Farm, but something's not right. He's stressed and Megan wants to know why - and she finds the answer on his laptop. *Second episode* He's usually the villain of the piece, so it's a shock to see Cain doing everything he can to save Holly, who has overdosed on heroin. He's barely able to walk himself, but Cain manages to get Holly to her feet and into a car. He knows he needs to get her to hospital - and he needs to get her there right now. He sees Alex and tells him to tell Moira, then he takes off. At the hospital, Cain slips away and lets the Bartons deal with their latest family trauma. Moira's relieved when Holly tells her she didn't OD on purpose, she just couldn't cope - and she thinks Adam can't cope, either. It's clear that Pollard still isn't coping with being abandoned by Val and Amy tries to be sympathetic, but she tells Pollard a few home truths. He listens, too, and gives Amy and Victoria their jobs back. But he's still clearly not thinking straight, as he turns to barmy Brenda for tea and sympathy! Laurel has sympathy for Sandy after dragging him around a care home with Ashley. Sandy doesn't want to go into a home and Laurel tells Ashley they can't do that to him if he doesn't want it. Ashley's not sympathetic, though, he's furious - and he makes sure Sandy knows it.
