Cass sabotages Donna's audition for the school play, ending in Donna embarrassing herself and fleeing the audition room in tears. Cass is humiliated when Dan tells her off and takes the opportunity for revenge when she discovers him comforting her daughter. When Donna angrily confronts her mother, Cass feels guilty about her actions. On the back of this, Dan and Libby convince Cass not to ruin Dan's career with false allegations. But just as it seems Cass is about to show her human side she receives another one of her mystery calls. Having blown the police sting by her own attempt to track Guy down, Elle struggles to live with her mistake. She tries to bury the story, however Paul is onto her and the sting gone wrong becomes front page news. When Paul learns of Rebecca's involvement in the Erinsborough netball team he offers to be their sponsor. An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
