Doctors spoilers: Is Sid Vere letting his mum Estelle rule his life?
When it becomes clear Sid's mum still has big plans for him, Al encourages the medic that it's time he start living life his own way
Last week, at a wedding anniversary party for Dr Sid Vere's parents, colleague Al Haskey couldn't help notice the way his mum Estelle manages his life, including trying to matchmake between him and family friend, Gabrielle Rutter.
So this week, after Al overhears Sid on the phone to his mum ahead of his date with Gabrielle, he sees how Sid has 'flown the nest' but in some ways hasn't moved out at all, as Estelle continues to mould him.
But how will Sid react when Al suggests it's time he started doing things his way for a change?
Elsewhere in Letherbridge, Daniel Granger visits the home of terminal cancer patient, Tammy O'Keefe, who is determined her last wishes are met.
But with two squabbling grown children Erin and Kyle to handle as well as her cancer, it's not going to be easy.
And when Erin storms off after a family row, will she make it back home in time to see her dying mum?
Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC One
