Has Chas Dingle helped Liv or are her problems set to get worse?

Emmerdale's Chas Dingle has her fingers crossed in Friday's episode on ITV from 7pm (see our TV Guide for full listings).

When Aaron told his mum what was going on up at Mill where his little sister Liv was self-destructing, Chas Dingle was compelled to step in.

Unable to stand by and let Liv destroy her life, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) took strength from husband Paddy's (Dominic Brunt) support and took steps to try to get the young woman off booze and back on an even keel.

But given the strength of Liv's (Isobel Steele) turmoil and guilt over Paul's (Reece Dinsdale) death during the recent barn explosion, has Chas been able to do enough to get through to her?

At Home Farm in the wake of wronged Kim Tate (Claire King) having found out what has been going on under her very nose, she's come up with a plan and starts putting it into action.
