Gino's Italian Coastal Escape – ITV

Gino's Italian Coastal Escape - at the Tremiti Islands

Gino D'Acampo visits the Tremiti Islands, an archipelago 22 miles off the coast, as Gino's Italian Coastal Escape series reaches its half-way mark

Gino D'Acampo’s journey down the Adriatic coast of Italy continues as he explores the Tremiti Islands.

The five islands are known as the ‘pearls of the Adriatic’, and are absolutely stunning.

The chef travels from the mainland on the twice-daily helicopter shuttle – on an extremely rare rainy day!

Gino's Italian Coastal Escape

Gino and local Tremiti Islands guide Marco enjoy fish kebabs on the beach

The largest island is San Domino, a lush and green place full of beautiful produce to inspire Gino’s latest recipes.

He cooks up fish kebabs on a beach barbecue with his take on a tartare sauce then, after snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters around the island, rustles up a steak supper with Gorgonzola, chopped walnuts and sliced pears – divine!

Please note this programme airs at 11.20pm in Wales.
