Holby City spoilers: Look who's back! It's only Zosia Self!
Having been working in America for this past year, Zosia returns to Holby this week. But is she keeping a big secret about her time in the US?
Jac Naylor’s stuck in surgery and the locum registrar due on Darwin is late. But she gets an almighty shock when the mystery surgeon walks into the operating theatre… it’s former Holby favourite Zosia Self!
After marrying fellow medic Oliver Valentine just over a year ago, Zosia then said farewell to him and Holby to pursue her dream job in America.
When Jac (Rosie Marcel) quizzes Zosia about why she’s back, Zosia tells her the job in America just didn’t work out. But Jac’s not buying it and knows something else is going on…
With Frieda Petrenko on compassionate leave, Zosia knows Jac’s on the hunt for a permanent senior registrar. Jac, however, believes Zosia, with her level of expertise, could work anywhere in the world and refuses to give her a job!
But when it’s confirmed Frieda won’t be returning any time soon and Jac’s reminded first-hand of what a skilled surgeon Zosia is, Jac’s forced to bite the bullet and hands Zosia a contract. Just as Zosia signs on the dotted line, however, she then drops a massive bombshell! And Jac's not amused!
Meanwhile, Holly’s parents are pushing Ange to the limit, and Xavier and Donna are still at odds over the finer details of their relationship. Will it start to affect their work?
Holby City continues on Tuesdays at 8pm on BBC1.
