James Nightingale has got a WHOPPING surprise for his mum Marnie. What has he been up to and is Marnie going to be pleased?

James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) has a HUGE surprise for his mum Marnie (Lysette Anthony) in tonight’s Hollyoaks at 6.30pm (See our TV Guide for full listings).

Marnie has been trying to help her destructive son who has been plunged into a downward spiral ever since his boyfriend Harry Thompson’s horrific murder.

James, who was feeling suicidal a few weeks ago and was seen teetering on the brink of Chester’s archway about to jump off, is still feeling low and Marnie decides to take him to The Hutch for breakfast.

When she arrives at the venue she’s intrigued when Mandy Richardson (Sarah Jayne Dunn) shows her that The Teahouse, previously run by far right activists, Stuart Sumner (Chris Simmons) and Jonny Baxter (Ray Quinn) is up for sale.

An excited Marnie immediately spots a potential business opportunity but is gutted when an estate agent arrives on the scene and slaps a SOLD sign outside the building.

A deflated Marnie thinks her dreams of bringing a sophisticated eatery back to Chester are in tatters but her son James is about to stun her with some surprise news. What has lawyer James been up to?
