Convicted rapist, Finn O'Connor returns to Hollyoaks but it's not long before his arrival causes HUGE upset...

Convicted rapist Finn O’Connor (Keith Rice) returns to Hollyoaks after being released from prison and serving his time for raping John Paul McQueen and attempting to rape Nancy Osborne in 2014.

Although Finn initially asked to be re-housed away from the village his mum Diane (Alex Fletcher) had other ideas.

She was desperate for him to move back home with her, and convinced herself she would be failing him if she didn’t give him a place back at the family home.

However she’s in for a surprise when he suddenly turns up on the doorstep. A flustered Diane, who hasn’t yet broken the news to the rest of her family that she’s told Finn he can move in, quickly offers him money to stay for the night in a B&B until she fills in Sinead on the latest developments.

Finn is back in the village

A repentant Finn tells his mum that he’s changed and he just wants a chance to prove it.

Meanwhile Finn's sister, Sinead (Stephanie Davies) is preoccupied as it’s the day of her husband Laurie Shelby’s, funeral. Sinead, who suffered at the hands of abusive and manipulative Laurie (Kyle Pryor) who raped her, is putting on a brave face and tells everyone she’s pleased and just wants to celebrate the fact that there’s one less rapist in the world.

However as she, Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) who was also abused by Laurie and Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox), Laurie’s former teaching colleague, crack open the fizz, Sinead is in for a huge shock.

Is she about to catch sight of her rapist brother Finn back in the village?

Finn tries to re-intergrate back into village life

Elsewhere, Sylver McQueen (David Tag) angrily confronts Liam Donovan (Jude Monk McGowan) after previously overhearing him discussing the night of the car crash which nearly killed Grace Black, with Lisa Loveday (Rachel Adedeji).

A raging Sylver, who’s been helping Grace (Tamara Wall) learn to walk again, squares up to Liam and demands to know whether he was the one who ran over his own sister. Will a guilt-racked Liam confess all?

Meanwhile Sylver’s wife Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe), who caused the crash and is now pregnant, is spooked when she sees Sylver and her secret lover Liam, going head to head.

The sight of the men together pushes Mercedes who doesn’t know if the baby she’s carrying is Sylver or Liam’s, to come to a huge decision. What has she decided to do?
