Having planned her day to precision, Julia suddenly remembers that she's forgotten to pick up Marlin's birthday present so reschedules her plans, determined to fit everything in. Popping into town at lunch, Julia struggles to find a parking space then leaves the car unlocked, blocking the entrance to a garage. She returns to find the car has vanished, but local garage owner Martin reassures her the car is fine - he had to move it. Julia won't stand for it and storms in to get her car but, in haste, slips and falls, dropping her box of eggs. After all the chaos, Martin offers to take Julia out for dinner but, outraged by his front, turns him down and returns to work in a mood. Karen notices the effect Martin has had on Julia and is delighted when a delivery is made to Julia with a note saying he's looking forward to their date.
