Guy Pearce is cynical government agent Snow, framed for murder and offered freedom if he rescues the US President's daughter (Maggie Grace) from a maximum security, space station prison.

It's an enterprise that requires bouts of ultra-violence and a stream of laconic one-liners.

Grace has been taken captive when her humanitarian mission to monitor the maximum security prisoners' wellbeing sparks a mass breakout led by Vincent Regan's Glaswegian hard nut and his mad-as-a-bag-of-snakes brother (Joseph Gilgun).

We've seen it all before, of course, but cool-as-a-cucumber Pearce keeps it on track and the explosive action and tongue-in-cheek humour are mightily enjoyable.
