Stuck in traffic, DS Max Carter and DC Terry Perkins are busy antagonising each other, when they are alerted by the screams of a female driver in front of them. They witness two men, later identified as brothers Stefan and Feliks Adamski, dragging the woman out of her car in an effort to steal it. One of the brothers stabs the woman to death and, as the suspects get away, Max and Terry argue over who was holding the knife. The two officers soon realise that this incident is linked to an international car-jacking racket, but when the case leads to further conflict, a fight breaks out between the two, and DI Sam Nixon is forced to step in. Keen to put aside their differences to get a result, Max and Terry set up a sting using Stefan's fiance and their key witness, Halina Lesnik. But the officers are horrified when the operation goes horribly wrong and Halina is mowed down by the Adamski brothers. VIDEO: Watch a clip from this episode of The Bill.
