Artist Alison Lapper and photographer Rankin set out to help four people with issues about their appearance
'I hate my face,' says Alanah. 'I'm just disgusted by it.' Alanah has body dysmorphic disorder: where others see a pretty teenager, she sees someone 'monstrous'. Alanah is one of the subjects of this touching and at times profoundly sad film, in which artist Alison Lapper and photographer Rankin set out to help four people with issues about their appearance.
But, invited to Rankin’s studio for a photo shoot, will the four subjects agree to take part in the project?
