Ross Kemp: Extreme World
Ross Kemp reports on the drugs war in the Philippines
Just under 100 days ago, the Philippines elected a controversial new president in a landslide election victory.
Rodrigo Duterte has promised to rid his country, which has the highest rate of crystal meth use in the world, of drugs within a year.
It's a noble intention, but, as Ross discovers, there is a much darker side to this war on drugs, with 3,000 suspected drug dealers and users already killed in less than three months.
Duterte's hardline stance has given police the power to do anything it takes to stop the drug trade, including, some claim, the use of vigilante killers.
For the poverty-stricken addicts, they are caught between addiction and fear of the state.
