Angkor Wat in Cambodia is among the religious landmarks featured in BBC1's Sacred Wonders

They do this to remove saplings that threaten the ancient structure -and with no safety equipment.

Meanwhile, in Jerusalem, thousands of worshippers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque mark the end of Ramadan.

It sees them risk collapse through hunger or dehydration along the way.

There’s also a look at the Virgen de la Esperanza in Spain and China’s famous Shaolin Temple, home of Kung Fu.
