Leela can't believe her brother would be capable of killing someone but when she finds Mercedes car key fob at Ste's, she worries that her brother is guilty of murder. Sinead is horrified when Sam and Sonny turn up at the boarding house and arrest Ste.
At the station, SI Marlow interrupts Sonny and Sam's investigation and has a quiet chat with Ste, resulting in Ste confessing to everything. Sam knows Marlow is behind Ste's confession, but is powerless to do anything.
Sinead doesn't believe that Ste was responsible and neither does Sam, but all Ste can think of is Fraser's threat to hurt Leah and Lucas. Ste is granted bail but Sinead has to be escorted out of court when she screams at Ste to tell them he didn't do it.
Also, Sinead decides that the hospital needs to take the blame for what happened; Lindsey is suspended; Sonny knows he has Jim's DVD confession about Fraser's true identity but will he use it to help Ste and lose Carmel?
