Back on the beat with London's police force in the second series of this documentary
As this second series begins, there’s footage of major incidents and forensic work but also lots of evidence of the very human side of officers. Sgt Vicky Kneale is investigating a case involving properties used as brothels but is clearly concerned about the welfare of the prostitutes: 'I want to be able to give these girls an option'.
Meanwhile, riot-trained officers waiting to be deployed play rounders in the car park nine hours into a 12-hour shift; and Pc Laura Walker listens calmly as an aggressive homeless man goes from being abusive to emotionally confessing how much he respects the force.
