First up is a visit to tiny, remote Owarigi in the Solomon Islands of the South Pacific, where the people live almost entirely from the sea.

Spear fishing is the most popular way to catch your dinner – and that means free diving in shark-infested water.

Cousins and expert fishermen Sosimo and Moses are tasked with teaching their Scottish visitor how to dive, shoot his spear and, most importantly, overcome his fear of sharks.

'If you see a shark, look it in the eyes,' instructs Sosimo to a terrified Gordon. The phrase 'fish out of water' comes to mind…
