TV fans everywhere will love this attempt at recreating the first official broadcast on British television
No recordings exist from the first official broadcast on British television, beamed live from Alexandra Palace on November 2, 1936.
In this attempt at recreating the night popular culture changed for ever, Professor Danielle George and Dr Hugh Hunt rebuild the cameras, with advice from Paul Reveley (104) – who worked with John Logie Baird in the 1930s – while Dallas Campbell meets an original performer, 91-year-old dancer Lily Fry.
Add incredible behind-the-scenes stories and it's a dream show for true telly fans.
