Cain’s shocked when his dodgy contact turns up severely injured at Butler’s and threatens to tell everyone it was Cain’s fault. But he’s not as shocked as Moira – the man is her nephew, Ross Barton – Laurel’s carjacker! Cain warns him not to say anything about the job to Moira, but she’s livid and prepared to call the police if they don’t tell her what’s going on. Ross won’t go to hospital, but needs treating, so vet Vanessa steps in. He’s been shot and needs time to recover, so Moira agrees he can stay. But Cain wants rid of him by morning.
An upset Betty calls Edna – Alan has passed away in his sleep. Victoria’s devastated, but they decide to go ahead with the meal and everyone raises a glass in honour of their dear, departed friend.
Paddy was nervous about telling Rhona about sleeping with Chas, but now he’s done it, he’s totally unnerved as she doesn’t seem to care.
