BBC2’s Weasels: Feisty and Fearless looks at the secret life of our furry friends and other members of their family, and sets out to show they’re not the villains we think they are
Weasels often get a bad press – we even call someone we don’t trust a weasel – but BBC2’s Natural World film Weasels: Feisty and Fearless sets out to change our perception of them (see TV Guide for full listings).
Weasels (like the one pictured above) and other members of the mustelidae family, such as badgers, stoats, martens, ferrets and wolverines, are amazing predators.
All of them have incredible skills, and we defy anyone not to be charmed by the adventures of orphaned weasel Twiz as she finds her way around the world, while in Yorkshire, a garden is rigged with 50 cameras to give a rare insight into the life of a mother stoat as she tries to raise her first family.
We also discover how honey badgers are good at solving problems, why ferrets are so flexible and why the wolverine has an extraordinary sense of smell.
Narrated by Julie Walters.
