Arriving late for work hand in hand, Arthur's thrown when Morven suggests they keep quiet about their new relationship at work. Arthur reluctantly agrees, but admits he's not very good at keeping secrets… When Serena reminds Arthur he needs to complete Morven's appraisal, Arthur's sudden 'professional' manner upsets his new love. Arthur decides to come clean to Serena about their relationship – but backs out when Serena jumps in first, saying she hates office romances!

Later, as Arthur treats a patient with a nail through his tongue and an infected tattoo, all in a bid to impress a girl, he knows he must declare his love for Morven. And it's a very public display of affection…

With a documentary crew filming an in-depth look into the world of cutting-edge neurosurgery, Guy Self is hoping to impress. It's soon revealed that Guy has become good friends with Saima 'Sam' Ahmed, the deputy manager of Pulses Café, who's only too eager to tell the film crew how great he is. But, as Guy strives to prove he's a super-surgeon, he ends up putting his friend in danger…

Also, Essie realises her period is late and takes a pregnancy test. But before she can digest the result, Essie's forced into dealing with a complex case involving an adopted son donating his kidney to his birth mother. Will her emotions get the better of her?
